After dancing at the Horsebridge, the procession reformed in Harbour Street with some important additions.... Robin Hood, Maid Marion and Jack-in-the-Green (the talking bush).

 

 

This year, Jack took to rotating occasionally. I had never seen him do that before. With eleven Morris sides involved, it was the longest and most colourful prcession I had witnessed at Whitstable.

Immediately behind Jack were the Oyster Morris Women... led by Dixie Lee... 

 

 

.... and many colourful sides. Emma Darby tells me that the side below are "Glory of the West" from Devon....

The next stop was the harbour and, below, we picture the scene at Starvation Point close to the West Gate ....
